CVE forms part of the examining body for the official Cambridge exams. At the same time, it offers TOEFL test preparation classes for students who wish to study in the USA. Each exam is offered annually for students who wish to take the exam. Cambridge exam preparation is continuous within the academic framework of PYP, MYP and the International Baccalaureate. Each year, teachers evaluate the level of each student suggesting whether he should take the exam that year. It is completely voluntary and depends on each family making a final decision.
Students who take the Diploma Program take the English B exam and can also agree to take the Cambridge exam if they wish to do so. However, IB allows for the students to have an acquisition of the English language at a high level, and that they can express themselves in their second language without difficulties. Many students decide to only take the English B course connected to IB. In English, students take the Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, PET, First certificate and Advanced exams. 96.63% of our students passed these tests last year and the grades were excellent, with 89% of students achieving outstanding in their evaluation.
In addition, the school offers the option of taking French or German as a third language, following the same academic curriculum as English, as well as the International Baccalaureate criteria for language acquisition. Access to official exams and level certification works in the same way as in English, with the teacher developing and evaluating the level, suggesting when the student should take the exam.
