CVE is privately owned educational centre. The main purpose of the institution is to train free and responsible Christian men and women, in a context of high-level academia and a climate of collaboration. We are committed to constant improvement: educational action is always our first priority above any other consideration.

Invertir en futuro

To invest in education is to invest in the future. A society improves because the individuals that compose it improve, because ignorance is overcome, and defects are tempered. We believe, therefore, that the task of educating should be reserved for those who can give themselves to each new generation of students, those who have the will to transmit because they communicate rigorous and first-hand knowledge and transmit attitudes that they truly practice.

CONSTRUCTIVE LEARNING

We must precisely measure the appropriateness of the content to the ages in which they are taught, advance in a gradual and studied way, avoid at all times jumps in the complexity of the content or in the intensity of the demand. We advance on solid ground, periodically reviewing the fundamentals.

EDUCATE IN FREEDOM

This fundamental rule must be understood. Educating is showing the reasons why decisions are made, not imposing certain behaviour with an overall authority. Mutual respect is the basis of coexistence; trust is the basis of communication. A great majority of students respond to learning within this climate, and the school will not change this ideal because of some rare exceptions.

TEACH TO THINK

It is not enough to get a student to repeat what has been transmitted to him, we must also teach him to process the information he receives: assess, relate, discuss, distinguish the main idea and the extra information transmitted.

DEMAND AND QUALITY

Give a comprehensive training, which puts the student in contact with the realities of nature and culture; with a critical and creative spirit; with values ​​that allow the adults of tomorrow to make the decisions that give order to their existence. ACTIVE TEACHING

Let no one do for the student what he can do for himself. Learn by doing, banishing the vices of passive and receptive teaching. We learn better what we discover for ourselves.

INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATION

To educate personally is to know each student, their potentialities, and their weaknesses, to start from an individual reality and promote the development of the person. That is the true success of a centre, to get each student to go as far as possible.

EVERYTHING IS IMPORTANT

A school that specializes in one area of ​​the educational curriculum tends to do so at the expense of other content. We value both fundamental subjects such as Language, Mathematics, Social and Natural Sciences, as well as Foreign Languages, or special and formative subjects such as Physical Education, Arts and Music. We want a complete training harmoniously developing the potential of each student.

WE WANT TO BE A TRUE EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY THAT INTENSELY INVOLVES TEACHERS, STUDENTS AND FAMILIES. WE WANT TO GIVE A COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING. FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS IDEAL, WE CONCENTRATE ON THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES:

SCHOOL COMMUNITY

All those involved in the centre must feel that they are part of the institution. We must be open to everyone’s comments, suggestions and criticism.

EFFECTIVENESS

The operation of the organization must be characterized by the precision of the agreements, the control of their fulfilment and the review of the results of the decisions taken. Any important agreement must be reflected in documents. Work procedures should be established when necessary through written protocols. Problems must be dealt with in a timely manner, without undue delay.

TEACHER TEAM

In the first place, it is about having a team of teachers solidly trained in the subjects they teach, who have an active and personalized didactic methodology, who are open to innovation, willing to be permanently trained and whose values are ​​in accordance with those of the school Educational Project.

SCHOOL ORGANIZATION

We are looking for a harmonious succession of class time and rest time, which allows taught subjects to be given their proper weight. We advocate for an optimized school day; we want the teaching of English and Physical Education to happen daily.

STUDENTS

Nobody is born educated; every student is educable. It is up to parents and the School to find the key that allows each one to develop his or her potential. We do not advocate selection based on abilities, but we do demand that there be a willingness to learn, to self-improve. We offer a solid formation in knowledge, firm in principles, refined in social forms and based on respect.

FAMILIES

Today we must cater to the new realities of the family: the work of both spouses, the breakups, the substitution of direct care for the hiring of services. We must be much closer to parents and ensure that their goals and ours are harmonized.

BEHAVIOR IN SOCIETY

Respect is the key to coexistence, towards social forms with expressions of mutual respect, and should be maintained. Entrepreneurship, responsibility, tenacity, and self-improvement are the paths that have always led to active participation in a socially aware life.

Curiosity, wanting to search behind appearances, is the engine of the growth of humanity’s knowledge. Knowing, discovering, and reflecting must be unconditional values. Beyond a utilitarian value, becoming familiar with the arts, sciences, the society of the time, is a source of authentic humanization. Man is complete in knowledge.

TRANSCENDENT SENSE OF EXISTENCE

Value our existence as a transcendent project. We have to discover the role we play in the harmony of the world. Doing good, preferring justice, and seeking the truth, make sense in this perspective.
