WHAT IS THE INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (IB)?

IBThe IB Programme is a leading entity in the field of international education that aims to offer better opportunities to students and train caring, informed and young people eager for knowledge, who feel motivated to achieve their goals.

To achieve their goal, the organization collaborates with schools, governments, and international organizations to create and develop challenging international educational programmes and rigorous assessment methods. It develops a curriculum that now caters towards more than one million students in 146 countries and is recognized by more than 100 countries and 2,000 universities. We hope that our students contribute to building a better world through mutual understanding and intercultural respect.

The school has always been based on the philosophy and principles of the IB programme, working for years with new cooperative teaching methodologies, multiple intelligences, as well as visible thinking strategies, project-based learning, etc.

The center offers the PD, MYP and PYP programmes.

In the Primary Education Programme (PYP), the different subjects function as the basis of a common project or theme, interrelating the different subjects around the common theme to promote connections and meaningful learning in an inter-disciplinary environment.

The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) is an educational rogramme for 11-16 year olds that emphasizes intellectual challenge and encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world.

The Diploma Programme is a challenging as well as comprehensive two-year curriculum for students between the ages of 16 and 18. We offer a set of subjects that enable a suitable configuration for student enrollment in a variety of degree programmes that are offered in our national universities and in universities abroad (more information on our Baccalaureate-Diploma Programme page).
